Coviewer

The lab’s side-by-side manuscript-image reading tool

The Coviewer is the lab’s working surface for reading Beinecke MS 408 alongside its dated comparator manuscripts — a multi-pane image stage with zoom, pan, layered marks, and direct image / IIIF URL load against allowlisted holding-library archives. The internal research version is up and running on the lab side. A public iteration of that surface is in development. The screenshot below is the internal tool, kept here as a preview of what will land on this page.

Coviewer screenshot — three folio panes side by side: Beinecke MS 408 folios f1v (herbal plant), f76v (text), and f71r (zodiac ring), each with a folio selector, URL input, and pan/zoom controls. Top toolbar shows source folio dropdown, pin, URL paste, load, cursor mode, snap, attach, and marks. Below: source/Pane B/Pane C row, layout single/dual/triple, view both/image/lattice/stacked, mark tools (pan/select/doodle/arrow/eraser) with color picker and export.

Working on something where reading MS 408 against a specific comparator folio would help? Write to hello@honeycuttailabs.com with the pair you have in mind — the internal Coviewer is invite-walkable for legitimate research questions, and an early-access path on the public iteration is open the same way.
